The workshop will teach participants how to write grants for individual artist grants, fellowships, and artist residency opportunities.

 

  • Prerequisite: None.

  • Materials and Supplies: Each participant will be provided with a course manual including lessons, samples, tools, and resources.

 

 

Linda Vallejo – A to Z Grantwriting Instructor

 

Solo exhibitions of Vallejo’s newest series “Make ‘Em All Mexican” will be featured at Abrazo Interno Gallery, Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Education Center, New Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Education Center, New York, New York, from April 2 – April 27, 2014, the Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Lancaster, California from September 13 – November 9, 2014 and in “Unlikely Thoughts” at the Museo de Las Americas, Denver, Colorado, in October 2014.

 

Vallejo has been selected as a 2014 COLA Fellow by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. New work from her series “Make ‘Em All Mexican” will be featured in a group exhibition of 2014 Fellows at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery May 4 – June 15, 2014. Vallejo was included in The California/International Arts Foundation’s publication “L.A. Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980” and the Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980 and in two PST exhibitions; “Mapping Another LA: The Chicano Art Movement,” UCLA Fowler Museum, and “Doin’ It in Public: Art and Feminism at the Woman’s Building,” Ben Maltz Gallery, Otis College of Art. She is represented by the George Lawson Gallery in San Francisco.
