A to Z Grantwriting for the Individual Artist

The workshop will teach participants how to write grants for individual artist grants, fellowships, and artist residency opportunities.
Prerequisite: None.
Materials and Supplies: Each participant will be provided with a course manual including lessons, samples, tools, and resources.

Solo exhibitions of Vallejo’s newest series “Make ‘Em All Mexican” has been featured at Lancaster Museum of Art and History, Lancaster, CA; Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Education Center, New York, New York; the 5th Chicana/o Biennial at Movimiento de Arte y Cultural Latino Americano (MACLA) in San Jose, CA; Aqui Estamos - We Are Here: California Chican@ Art at Cabrillo Community College Gallery, Aptos, CA; and the UCLA Chicano Studies Resource Center. Vallejo was selected as a 2014 COLA Fellow by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs in 2014. Vallejo was included in The California/International Arts Foundation’s publication L.A. Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980 and the Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980 and in two PST exhibitions; Mapping Another LA: The Chicano Art Movement, UCLA Fowler Museum, and Doin’ It in Public: Art and Feminism at the Woman’s Building, Ben Maltz Gallery, Otis College of Art.
